Henry's Ark. A Place Where People and Animals Meet

Henry's Ark Is Located At 7801 Rose Island Road Prospect KY, 40059.

Open to the Public Year Round From 9:00 a.m. to Sunset TUESDAY thru SUNDAY. 502 228-0746.

Henry's Ark is a free to the public petting zoo and a child's wonderland, complete with an Outback, mate!. Animals roam freely about the property and parking lot. I was met by an Emu at the Jeep window and it followed me until someone with food came along and it lost interest (in me).
Henry's Ark, a.k.a. Moncada Farm, is a peculiar little farm with a petting zoo featuring over a hundred animals. There's the usual suspects such as goats, sheep, cattle, swans, ducks, geese and others -- but also extremely exotic selections such as bison, water buffalo, camels, emus, zebras, yak, elk, alpaca, porcupines, capybara, etc. There's a beautiful albino peacock as well.

The cache is hidden just outside the gate and is available even if the zoo is closed. Park in the zoo parking lot if open and at the gate if closed.

BEWARE OF TRAFFIC!
Also beware of the threshold at the entrance. It's designed to keep the residents inside the property, but can be an ankle eater.
