Guemes Waterfront Windmill Traditional Cache
Curious Joe: Liked this location as my family came by and stayed in a cabin nearby for years. Times change and the windmill and surrounding location are not as they once were. Still, a beautiful place to visit and great agates can be found on the beaches here. My oldest remaining cache, but time to let it go.

A small Rubbermaid container hidden on the west side of Guemes Island by the beach near a windmill. Please note, cache is not in or under windmill and is unaccessable if the tide is more than +8 ft because you'd have to cross private property (across some bulkheads) unless you want to wade or come by sea. Check your tide tables.
The beach spreads for miles in either direction and I love to just walk the beach and check out the scenery and look for agates and such. The day I placed the cache, a pod of Orcas went by! To find the cache, go north from the ferry and take a left on Edens Road. After a mile when the road turns right down the hill as it nears the beach, go straight instead on the short spur and park at the end of the road next to the beach. The cache is about an 1/8 of mile south along beach.
