In East Windsor's "Turnpike Park" in a cache devoid area east of the "Trenton Splotch." Take care in accessing the park as there are no signed entrances.
Updated in December 2007 to include easier parking and no bushwacking. Please be considerate around rhe approach to the park and the suggested parking area.
We used to walk around these woods when we lived in the area ten years ago. There has been quite a lot of development in the area and the houses come quite close to the woods now. Local Boy Scouts used to camp in the area, and we are sure that the locals used to ride ATVs and such around here. Lots of deer and wildlife in the open areas; look for songbirds in the fields and raptors on the towers.
The cache is a full size ammo box hidden just off the "trail."
The area is full of your typical Jersey pitfalls, at least in the woods: ground can be damp or swampy in places, there is obvious PI and prickers about, and there are likely to be lots of bugs of all kinds.
