A winding road that can get muddy if very wet. A four wheel drive preferred but not absolutely necsessary.
It is possible to drive to within a short walk from the cache. Park your car off the gravel road and follow the trail. This has to be one of the most awe inspiring scenic look-outs in North America; and known about by very few people. The scenery is stunning.
The container is a green water tight box. The cache is not intended to be hard to find once you have driven to the the closest point on the road. Take the High Bar road off of Jesmond road - the change in terrain is dramatic!
It is possible to continue along the same road and looping back to the Jesmond Road via a 23% grade hill, with 7 switch backs. A four wheel drive is recommended if you should decide to take that route - you would be in for a ride to remember. Be sure to read the sign at the start of the descent!
