About fifteen feet off a marked trail.
This cache is a tribute to NEOC1 to commemorate his 1000 cache. The theme is "things 1000". The cache is very easy to find, and some care should be taken not to give it away to passersby, however, the remoteness of the trail makes this easy. This is a good cache for youngsters, but not little ones.
Standing at the map outside the Nature Center, you will be less than one mile from the cache. If there are maps available, take one! The trails are well marked here, but the junctions are not. It is very easy to miss a turn.
You do not have to bushwhack to find NEOC1k, if you are in the woods you are making it too hard. You will hike on the yellow and pink trails. Don't turn right too soon, hang on and wait for a single track trail. The second right with yellow trail markers is what you are looking for when coming from the Nature Center.
