Outstanding views and a unique Arbutus forest will greet those who seek out this cache. This little berg offers folks traveling through a chance to gaze over the Central Island without the need to ascend the 340m (1115 feet) summit (located at N49 17.651 W124.19.354) by foot. Once out of your vehicle, please use caution as there are cliffs and steep drop-offs in the area.
Also be aware, your first impression may be marred by considerable trash and refuse in the parking lot. This is sometimes a spot for late night ‘parties’. Fortunately, the untidiness is confined to the parking area only and will not significantly detract from your enjoyment of this unique eco system. On clear days you’ll be able to see Vancouver from here. Bring binoculars!
You’re looking for a green ammo container with ‘Geocache’ marked on the outside. Original contents include… a FTF Bonus of $20, DVD movie, watch, carabineer with LED light, magnetic key holder, travel alarm clock, glow sticks, rave ring and several additional items. We’ve included a disposable camera for pictures and have also included a number of “City of Parksville” pins which you do not need to trade for. Feel free to take one as we will replenish the cache.
