Geocache Description:

Quiet shady spot along a Farmington river path with a hike/bike of about 1 mile . The Farmington Valley Greenway trail system has been expanded. Kayak friendly too- water is little quick near the cache.

A nice level walk along one of our favorite fishing paths that eventually ends up near a quiet spot along the Farmington River. The path is accessed via the Farmington Valley Greenway Trail system - or other ways if you are more adventurous. You could conceivably kayak right near to where the cache is located-we saw several kayaks go by while we were rechecking the coordinates. Also an easy mountain bike ride and dog friendly. The cache is a large ammo box and is well hidden and contains stuff you might need near a river.
We saw some beaver activity and even saw his home so I ask that you not let little kids disturb the little guy. You can see him well enough from the river bank if you are lucky. This is also a popular fly fishing spot for trout and atlantic salmon. Parking is available at N41.46.816 and 072.55.277W until sunset or at the lot near River Road extension. Please rehide exactly as you found it so it isn't readily visible. If you stick to the trail you shouldn't heve to worry about ticks.
