Geocache Description:

10am until ?????. Time for rest and relaxation during the summer heat. Plenty of shade in the main gathering area. This is private property, belonging to John Boots, a good friend of mine, who has once again generously let us use this nice location for an event. For those Geocachers that attended my event Nov. 20th, 2004, it is located at the same place. Travel Bugs are welcome, as are door prizes.

The entrance is at N 29 03.084/W 81 58.497. And it is also the coords of a micro cache you can grab on the way to the picnic, if you haven't done it already. This will be a covered dish affair. Plan on eating at 1pm. No rushing here and there to find caches.

We will be playing a version of the well known Poker Run. I will call this Railroad Poker. You will be required to ride a railroad car to each of the different areas to pick up your card. After you find that card you will then get back on your railroad car and be taken to your next station. You will need your GPS to find the card locations.

Just a restfull afternoon of lounging, eating and riding the 1 1/2 mile long miniature railroad, and of course talking about Geocaching. Kids of all ages welcome to attend and ride the trains. Due to past issues with pets, I have been asked to let everyone know that NO PETS will be allowed. Not even ones in cages. It is a requirement to allow us to be here. I'm sorry if this creates a problem for anyone. But you can still bring spouses, friends and kids.

For your comfort please bring chairs. Ground space will be provided for those that forget them.

Many types of birds inhabit the surrounding area. A Barred Owl, at times, has landed within 20 ft of us while we were working on installing the track. Sandhill Cranes, Kites, Hawks and Eagles are just a few that can be seen here. Snakes, ants and the occasional mosquito will be provided at no extra charge.

Lake Bower is on the northern side of the property if you have a canoe or kayak. Just a word of caution, the lake has some resident alligators. One is 10+ feet.

For those that can't make the event and/or want to stop earlier, we will be running the trains on July 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. To get credit for attending the event you must be present at the picnic on the 4th.

The following items will be provided.

Plates, cups, utensils.

Additional Hints (Decrypt)

Please let me know so I can add the item to the list, so others will have an idea what to bring. Food list Fruit or pasta salad Salad Homemade cookies Fresh fruit basket Hamburgers Hotdogs Soft drinks Homemade cookies Macaroni salad Brownies Deviled eggs Donuts Orange Juice
