Geocache Description:

A multi-cache involving some basic math and a pleasant 5-minute walk.

The coordinates above mark the location of the original Fisksätra, a poor tenant farm under Erstavik manor. It is known in written sources from the 16th century onward, but the name type and two pagan cremation graves excavated in the vicinity hint that in the Viking Period the area was a meadowland used by some nearby farm. Fisksätra was burnt to the ground by the Russians in 1719, re-built, and then entirely obliterated when the modern housing estate was built. For details, see this paper published in Nackaboken 2005.

Modern Fisksätra is a great place to live, particularly for people with children, as there is no above-ground access for cars and all streets are playgrounds overlooked by countless kitchen windows. The apartments are spacious and well planned.

Near the position indicated above there is a plaque with some numbers.

a. Let the three final numbers be ABC.
b. PPP=CBA+250
c. QQQ=ABC-609

The cache is about five minutes’ walk from the above position, at the following coordinates.

N 59°17.PPP
E 18°15.QQQ

Objects made from pre-industrial materials (e.g. stone, bone, antler, wood, pottery, metal, glass) and/or antiques are particularly welcome in this cache.
