The FOG: As of today this cache is archived. A big hearty thanks from the FOG boys to all those who showed up and helped. The caching community here locally and abroad is hard to beat. Just a bunch of friendly folk willing to help in all sorts of ways. There will be another event in a couple of months so please watch for it and plan on joining us. In the mean time enjoy the lazy hazy crazy days of summer!

Geocache Description:

The FOG is a group of good friends that have been able to remain close through geocaching. We have adopted a stretch of the lovely Bangerter Highway to keep it clear of trash and debris. We own 2 miles of Bangerter Highway (between mile markers 8 and 10) and have the responsibility of cleaning both sides at least 3 times each year. This will be the first cleanup for 2005 and we would like to offer an invitation to the local geocaching community to again join us for a fun-filled time.

We will meet at the posted coordinates on Thursday June 16th at 6:30 pm, and hand out orange vests and huge trash bags of the same color. If we get enough participants, we anticipate being able to complete the service project in just a little over an hour. After the cleanup, the FOG will provide drinks and doughnuts to the participants and hopefully have a few minutes to talk and share stories. Please note that UDOT requires that no children under the age of 11 participate in the Adopt-a-Highway progam and that children between 11 and 15 years of age need to be under direct adult supervision.
