Another mistake made today. I started out on a simple little cache hide and ended up way up there.
If your packing, strap it on as I came across cat tracks as well as 2 older and one Fall kill. Watch where your going and avoid too heavy of cover.
I was just scouting for another cache when I spotted this location from down on the road. I was looking at another close by spot but I found that there was recent rockfall making that location unsafe for a cache. You might still take a look at it while in the area. There where some HUGE rat middens in the back but I did not have a light or a mask to enter into there. I could smell the place from 50 feet away.
Anyway, to start your hunt:
I parked at N 43°57.302 X W 120°53.923 which is off the road far enough where you should not have any problems and should be accessible for most rigs if your careful. The cache is somewhere around 3/4 mile one way with around 600 feet of gain. But the view is worth it. There are some offroad trails in the area where you might want to try and drive closer but.....
Now. For the cache container. It is a different one from anything else I have used. And it is big. And black. Please replace EVERTHING around the container back as you found it and make sure the lid is on tight.
