Geocache Description:

The Windfall Lake Trail is accessed by driving to mile 27 Glacier Highway and turning right for 0.7 miles. The overall trail is 3.5 miles (one way) and features great blue herons, swans, geese and other waterfowl on the lake. Bears are also present. There is good fishing for Dolly Varden and cutthroat trout in Windfall Lake. A new cabin has been constructed at Windfall Lake, and can be rented for overnights or just used for day use.

The cache is located about 1 ¼ miles up the Windfall Lake Trail. You will cross over the first large bridge that crosses a branch of the Herbert River. Once you have done that, get ready to look for the cache. This is a very nice trail and is a very easy trail. The container is a quart-size water bottle green in color to match its surroundings. It is sort of small for a cache container so I decided it might be fun to use it to trade writing pens/pencils. Pens are used a lot for advertising so and it might be fun to see where they all might come from. So when you log your find indicate the company or advertiser and the city it came from.
