this cache is in the woods beside the king row cemetery. i know
it has another name, but to most people, this is king row
cemetery.
my twin granddaughters were always asking me to drive them to
this cemetery and finally i asked them why. they said they wanted
to see where bert dow, deep water man, was buried. when i told them
that bert dow was fictional, they were horrified to think that i
was so clueless. indeed, he is buried in this cemetery and his
stone says, simply, bert dow, deep water man, 1882-1964. (i still
haven't read the book, by robert mccloskey - i really need to get
to it!)
directions:
to get to the cemetery, take the first left onto king row just
after you pass deer isle village. the cemetery isn't far from where
you turn onto king row.
park by the woman with the flowers (goss gravesite).
cache is an ammo box.
there is a benchmark very close to the cache, so be sure to find
it and log it, too. it is pe2043, and the coordinates for it are n
44 13.360 and w 068 40.148
