Made & hidden by a Webelos II cub scout den of 6 boys, ages 9 & 10. They earned the Map & Compass award while preparing and learning about caching.
Update 1/13/2023- This is temporarily a DISNEY themed cache!
After a few messages saying the contents and log were wet, I went on a retrieval mission today. I forgot how far this was off the trail! LOL Heck it WAS hidden by 9-10 year old boys who love to climb on and over boulders and logs! The Cub Scouts who hid this in 2005 are now 27-28 years old! Amazing it has survived this long!
Appears the box wasn't properly closed at some point and yep, it was all wet. Anyway, the temporary replacement is a plastic container filled with Disney items while I dry out the salvageable Scouting items and the box itself.
Original post - You'll need to do some bush-wacking for this one. Ammo box, hidden off the new blue dot trail in the Sourlands. Originally started out with a few things from each scout plus things added by friends and siblings who went hiking with us to hide it. Some of the items are a skakeboard wheel, guitar picks, horse key ring, bouncy ball, quarter, Cat in the Hat toy, flashlight, plastic dinosaur, race cars, Create-a-Mug kit, leather key chain, Jr Raider Track ribbon, Jesus Loves Me pin, Pokemon card, spider ring, C3PO ring and other stuff I can't remember.
Also in the box are scouting items such as cub scout bowling & soccer belt loops, and a Bear cap & neckerchief, Yellowstone Junior Ranger patch, boy scout Scouting Day, Delaware Water gap and Battleship NJ patches, and a girl scout Environmental patch. PLEASE ONLY TRADE SCOUTING ITEMS FOR OTHER SCOUTING ITEMS!!
Log book is a spiral bound school notebook. The boys would love it if you left them a note.
