Geocache Description:

Simple walk in, difficult find.

The cache:

This micro will require that you bring your own writing utensil, and perhaps a tweezers to remove the log. It is intended to be a very difficult find, it is well hidden and not at all obvious. The container is one of the micro containers available at Geocaching.com, and it is not suitable for travel bugs or trading items. For this one, the joy is in the hunt! Waypoint was averaged over five minutes at about 20 feet accuracy when placed. No hints to begin with, we'll see how you do...

First to find e-mail us with the reason for the name, and we'll arrange to award you with a set of travel bug tags.

The site:

Hopemead Park, an often overlooked little spot on the back of Gardiner Lake, parking can be found at: 41 31.068'N o72 12.866'W. People fish and swim here. It is a quiet and out of the way little area, suitable for dogs on leashes. Beware the poison ivy in the summer, park closes at sunset.

Important update, 2/16/10: As this cache approaches its 5th year of both torturing and delighting those that elect to take it on, we ask this of those accepting the challenge from here on out. PLEASE do not post a "Needs Maintenance" until you have contacted us directly first. If you cannot find this on your first try, you are in good and plentiful company. Read the logs. Periods of multiple dnfs are not uncommon and simply verify the given ratings. This is a unique and unusually difficult cache to find. Please don't expect it to be easy and... PLEASE!... don't assume it's gone because you can't find it. Contact us if you want help or suspect a problem. Thank you.
Now GO FIND IT! ;-)
