Parking for this cache can be found at N50.30.837 W004.27.850. in the moorland village of Minions near Liskeard. From here it is a 20-30 min walk across open flat moorland to the cache site.
Not far from the car park you will pass the Hurlers.
Three stone circles built close together and all in a line running from NNE to SSW. These three circles vary in size from 105 foot to 135 foot across. The largest is the central circle which has a central stone. The name derives from a legend that the circles were once men or women turned to stone for "hurling the ball" on the Sabbath.
Carrying on pass the Hurlers you will see the Cheesewring.
Balancing precariously high upon the edge of a quarry the Cheesewring is actualy natural not man made as many believe. The largest boulder is some 30 foot across and sits upon smaller boulders. Although formed by natural erosion folklore blames a battle between local giants and the Saints of the time for the boulders being there.
The cache itself is a 1.6 Litre lock lock type box and has some Cornish and various other bits and bobs and a logbook.
Please note that the area around the vicinity of the Cheesewring can get very busy and in the winter very very wet as you can see in the photo. So we have located the cache as discreetly as possible so you should be able to find it undisturbed.
The signal at the site can be a bit eratic so use the clue and the pictures to help you and don't forget to make a note of the coordinates for the next Cornish Quest cache which is inside the logbook.
Thank you and enjoy the area.
