Geocache Description:

A potentially tricky little multi micro cache set in the gorgeous village of Iford near Westwood (near Trowbridge).
Not suitable for pushchairs, could get a little muddy, and should take no longer than an hour car door to car door. Whilst in the locality one can also visit the famous Manor and gardens which lie centrally in the village. The title of the cache reflects the fact that there have been several recent sightings of big black cats in the area - some rumoured to be almost a foot long!!

Iford has been occupied since Roman Times and the Manor sits by the River Frome in the steep sided valley. Harold Peto discovered the village in 1899 and the Manor garden which is characterised by pools, terraces, statues, sculptures mixed with evergreen planting and magnificent views owes everything to his inspiration. See www.ifordmanor.co.uk for opening times etc.

The posted co-ordinates take you to something red. Find the first two words in red and count the number of letters in each. These shall be 'a' and 'b'.

Now take the public footpath to N51 19.603 W002 17.352 and find the lethal snake. His four numbers shall be 'c' 'd' 'e' and 'f'.

Now solve the following to get to the cache :

N51 f e . a 0 b
W002 c 7 . a-c d-c 0

Happy hunting.
