Geocache Description:

A beautiful easy hike around a small lake on Bowen Island.
TIP: hold and unscrew the cache from the top, don't pull it off!

This geocache is on Bowen Island in Howe Sound. You can get to Bowen by taking a small ferry from Horseshoe Bay on the Mainland. By car, drive up Government Road and take a right onto Mount Gardner Road. Follow Mount Gardner until you arrive at a small parking area at the lakeside. If you're on foot, walk uphill from the ferry and follow the trails marked by a green park signpost leading to Killarney Lake. Allow 30 minutes to walk the 1.6-km trail to the lake (see (visit link)

Once at the lake, head down the trail in either direction. At a relaxed pace it takes about an hour to make your way around. There's a great spot to stop for lunch about half way. Have fun!

note: this great spot for a cache was started by waterbabies, so kudos to them for the great location and the music trivia. :)
