Geocache Description:

The cache is a bison tube. Please do not attempt this cache unless you are as agile and nimble as a mountain goat. Well, maybe not that nimble but do be intentional about your foot placements and hand holds. My nimble days may be waning but I did make the scramble and felt safe the whole time even with lots of water cascading down this bucolic set of falls in March, 2019.

While riding the bike path along the West Fork of the San Gabriel River I was searching for the perfect spot to place a cache. After coming up with a couple of possible alternatives I found this spot and knew it was meant to be the place.

At the time of my ride in May, 2005, the water level is high and there are still tributaries crossing the bike path and adding water to the West Fork. This cache is placed alongside one of those tributaries.

Unfortunately, this tributary is not a placid stream but a series of cascades and falls you must scale. Therefore, please step and climb carefully.
