This cache is an easy lunch time access for anyone working in
the Solana complex, or staying in the associated Marriott hotel.
The complex has a very nice partially wooded 2 mile public jogging
trail, and this cache plus an associated bonus cache can be reached
by careful navigation of the trail and a small amount of off-trail
foraging. I'm surprised no one has hidden a cache yet in this
area!
I suggest parking in the restaurant parking area at N32
58.810 W097 10.192 if you are not already working or staying in
this complex - might avoid conversations with the local
security! If you can find this first cache, look on the first
page of the log for coordinates of the bonus cache. Like I said,
you should be able to stick to the jogging path until you're within
a couple hundred feet of either cache.
This cache is a medium size camoed tupperware container
containing kids trinkets and toys initially. You will need a pen
for the bonus cache, which is a micro. You can log your find of the
bonus cache separately from this one; it is cache number
GCNYCR.
The name of this cache is a reference to the "Solana" complex
name, which sounds to me like it has something to do with the sun.
However, it is true that both caches are under a tree canopy, which
may affect GPS readings.
Log Book replaced 10/11/05. Needs a new Zip-loc; will do that
next time around...unless you happen to have an extra with you!!
Thanks to mseeley for placing a new Zip-loc in there!! Today,
1/14/06, updated the cache container. It should keep everything
drier and it is a little bigger. Bring on the TBs! **** :-)
