I have been asked to introduce about 300 Boys Scouts, their dads, and leaders to Geocaching at an Encampment at Hope Campground near Squaw Peak. The event organizers have asked that I place about 15 caches for the boys to get the feet wet, so to speak.
As you all know, placing one or two caches can be a challenge, but 15 is a task that could use your help. The coordinates are for the gate at Hope Campground. We will meet at 9 am. The event will last as long as needed to place and verify these 15 caches.
I will provide containers, log books, pens, doughnut, and water. You will need to come prepare to help place these caches, some may end up being permanant caches after the Encampment is over so you will have to watch for new caches in this area.
We will split up into teams with 2 or 3 caches each to place then, after everyone is done we will send a different team to verify the caches.
This could be lots of work, or a little depending on how many cachers can make the event. It will definately be TONS OF FUN!!
Hope to see you all at HOPE CAMPGROUND, JUNE 11th @ 9 am!!
(Note: I could use a couple of ammo cans if someone could spare a couple of loners for the week of the encampment. You will get them back afterwards)
If your need directions, you can email me. But it is easy to get to. Just go up Provo Canyon and turn at the Squaw Peak Road. Go 4.5 mile to the campground, when the road forks, go left. When the pavement ends, you're there.
