Geocache Description:

The Coords above are for the first Micro .You can park very close to this.
You will find yourself at a very tranquil location over-looking the fields from Weston Underwood to Olney.

The Alcove was erected here in 1753 by the Throckmorton family, and has inspired many people to put pen to paper or marker pen to wall. More recent contributions include,
My Woz Ere
I Hate Life and
Barrys Mum is Satan
However William Cowper who lived in Weston Underwood and Olney from 1783-1795 was a little more inspired and is believed to have written many of his poetic works in this very Alcove, including The Task from which you will find an exerpt in the Alcove.

The final Cache is located at

N 52 0A.BCD (Slight adjustment to Northing +7)
W000 4E.FGH

You will need to take the first Micro into the Alcove to find A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H
Next to each letter you will find 2 numbers. The first is the line of poetry on the plaque.
The second is the word in the line of poetry.
You need to find the first letter of the word and then convert it into a number, where A=1 B=2 etc.

This is usually a very quiet spot and I have never come across anybody else here but if there is you will need to wait for them to leave otherwise you may look very strange.

Please return the Micro from whence it came when you have the coords. As the new micro is a little larger than the old one please try to cover up with piece of bark or the like.

You should now be able to find the the Cache, which is only a short stroll away. You dont need to cross fences or hedgerows , stick to the road and footpath.

The Cache is only a small black pot ( now a tupperware box 1ltr ish)so only small swaps will fit, or perhaps if you feel inspired some poetry would fit in, which I will gladly scan and show to the world.

I bet William Cowper never thought his poetry would be put to this use. Incidentily William Cowpers house in Olney features in Happy Hippo's Olney the Pancake Race Place .

The Cache when hidden contained
Mini LogSheet
2 Euros
2 Pencils
2 AA Batteries
and a TB not with Foghorn Leghorn as I said in its log.
