Geocache Description:

From Sydney, take Prov.Highway 327 to the Grand Mira Gabarus Road, and onto Fourchu Road and towards Fourche Head, on beautiful Cape Breton Island


Parking at Coors N45 42.992, W60 14.571. Drive as close or not so
close as you feel comfortable. There used to be a picnic park here
at one time.
Be sure to visit the Fourche Methodist Cemetery ( 1800 - 1961 ) on the hill as you walk.

You must cross over the breakwater/causeway ( approx. 1000' ) onto
the Fourchu Head ( Island ).
Be careful, the rocks may be slippery at times.
This may be a bit much for smaller children. You can also
see a seabird nesting site on one of the smaller islands, take your
binoculars. Once on the island, you will see the auto. light
station and foundations from long lost ones.
The fog horn can come on at any time,
Be Warned.

You will see some great ocean views,great place for a picture or two. Take a little lunch and do some exploring around. You will be overlooking Fourche Inlet and Kate Rock Cove.
