An uphill walk along a deeply rutted farm track for part of the way, then over grassland. Please wear appropriate footwear, this cache is not suitable for shorts. NETTLES!!

Pitmiddle Deserted Village lies in the Braes of the Carse, above the pretty village of Kinnaird. There are fantastic views across Glencarse to the Lommond Hills beyond.
This village survived intil the 1930's, when the Council condemned it for having no Mains water. All that remains
now are the stone foundations of the village, hidden amongst the grass and trees. The track up to the village was the main roadway, now used by the local farmer.
The small cache box contains stamp, ink pad, log book and pencil.

Letterboxing.
In the cache box you will find a Rubber Stamp and an Ink Pad - these are the signature for this cache. Please take an imprint of the stamp for yourself if you wish to collect them in your own personal notebook. Then leave an imprint of your own personal stamp in the cache log book (if you have one), or simply sign as a traditional log book.
Stamp and Ink remains part of the cache but it might be an idea to carry your own Ink Pad in case the one provided should dry up.
