This cache is in Westport, MA , on an island in the beautiful Westport river. A kayak or other small boat is needed.

There is parking at the boat ramp. You do not need a boat trailer to park there. I’ve been assured by the Chief of Police that kayakers without boat trailers are allowed. Just leave a visible note that you are kayaking & show a kayak rack. There is also a daily fee $$ for using the boat ramp.
The cache is about ¾ of a mile from the boat ramp. It is an ammo can. This is a beautiful estuary, with many active osprey nests. If you’re lucky you’ll get to see the ospreys dive to catch fish in their talons & bring it back to the nest. Be advised, you must stay away from the nests, so as not to cause distress to the birds.
Directions to WESTPORT HARBOR STATE RAMP: Take Route 195 to Route 88. Take the last exit off Rt. 88, its right after the bridge. The ramp is next to the Back Eddy Restaurant.
