Geocache Description:

The wood itself is beautiful when the bluebells arrive
Howe Park Wood is an ancient woodland on the edge of Milton Keynes which was probably documented in the Domesday Survey of 1086 as a woodland of 100 acres in the Parish of Shenley. It's a lot smaller now and is only a short distance from the Roman Road of Watling Street (now called V4 - unimaginatively).

The location above is not the actual location of the cache; please read on:

This is a short multicache which (if you can add up) should take less than half an hour to complete.

The co-ordinates above take you to a car park so theres lots of room there. Theres picnic tables and some nice walks through the wood (after your cache hunt). Over the road there is a large Morrisons (hence the titles) with cheap restaurant and there are the obligatory fast food chains as well.

But first - the cache which is a small ammo box. The location above should have parked you close to a board with a phone number on it. The number is:

(01908) ABCDEF

Location 1
And here is the number because the real one has been vandalised

Easy huh?

Now, have a stroll to N52° 00.199 W000° 47.427. Look at your feet! How big is the rectangle? The size is: GH0 x I00.

Now - move on to N52° 00.177 W000° 47.484. When was the tiny church built? In the year: JKL0.

And thats all you need! I hope you've been writing it down.

You'll need the following to work out the final location. Dont go through the gate and into the wood to find the cache, walk towards the East first... Follow the paths and walk uphill to the cache:

N 52° FE.(D-I+J) H (G+J)

W 000° LG.JK(I-H)

All of the clues are very close together - and there are firm paths to follow. The actual cache is still close - but the terrain is slightly harder. You do not have to enter the actual wood, which is an SSSI to complete any part of this cache. There are pools here, and a stream - so be careful with children, and watch out for the troll if you cross the bridge.

On the way to various caches Originally the cache contained: Logbook, Cachecam (please take picture of yourself and log online if you take the last one (The camera counts down)), network patch lead, Shampoo, a watch, New digital video tape, Ethernet Terminator, History cards, Mini picture frame, and the log and a pencil.

CacheCam:

Here is the result of the first cachecam film from the cache. Thankyou for your co-operation. Please click on a picture to go to the full size one.
