Geocache Description:

Easy find on a small winery near Gilroy. Easy access from the 101 freeway and the Factory Outlets. Park within 100 feet. One of my favorite wineries! Cache is located on a winery which has a private residence; please restrict caching to noon - 5 pm.

This cache is placed at an authentic, working winery. It is in plain view and can be accessed when the tasting room is closed. The guy who grows and harvests the grapes and makes the wine is named Tom. You'll see him there often enough. He agreed to the cache on a trial basis. He wants to be sure geocachers are gentle to his vine yards, so please leave a good impression! If you come on the right day you may be able to bottle your own wine! The tasting room is not always open, weekends are your best bet if you want to try the wines.
To get there: exit Leavesley Road off of Hwy 101 in Gilroy. This is the exit for the Factory Outlets. Go East, about 1 mile past the outlets. Turn left on New Avenue, and you'll be close. The winery has a small sign on the right hand side of the road. The driveway and parking lot are packed gravel.
No tricks here; the cache is hidden in plain view. If it's a busy day it may require a little stealth to access the cache.
Please treat the place with respect. You won't need to go off into the vineyard, won't have to dig around or climb on any farm equipment.

If you like wine, check out the tasting room and get on the mailing list. They'll let you know when the next bottle-your-own wine day comes.
