There are two odd geocaching families that live in Cheshire: the
Noodletroughs and the Warbleburgers. They are both the sort of
families that are traditional when naming children which leads to
all the generations being called variations on a small number of
names.
In fact, it is this naming that has caused some tension between
the families, because each family uses virtually the same names. As
you might expect, they both claim that the other family is copying
them!
To sort out the issue the men from the two families met up. From
the Noodletroughs there were James Henry, Thomas Percy, Donald
Thomas and Thomas Noodletrough; from the Warbleburgers there were
Edward Henry, Donald, Donald Percy, and Henry Warbleburger. They
decided to settle the issue by the two families racing to find a
cache; the family that found it first would be allowed to continue
naming their kids in the same manner and the losing family would
have to choose new names for their babies.
But what cache to choose? They decided that it should be a new
cache set-up by their friend HazelS. Being a cunning individual,
Hazel set them this puzzle cache!
It is not recorded who won, but I'm sure both teams enjoyed this
lovely spot which is a great place for a picnic.
After being stolen, the cache was replaced on 12.3.06 in a small
tupperware container at the same location.
