The bridge provides the neighboring children a shortcut to and from school.
I can see the girls using this path as a shortcut to get home to their dolls. The boys on the other hand, I can see them using this path as a shortcut to adventure/trouble.
As a side note, I hate traffic. If I come accross a traffic jam, I would more likely than not take a detour. This is at which point Mom McTwin would tell A&E that we are taking one of dad's famous shortcuts and they groan.
Now that I have an iQue that can give driving directions, my shortcuts are not so bad. As another side note, A&E have named the iQue 'Little Lady Jane' ( after my wife ) since she tells me how to drive.
