Cycling the scenic, remote roads of Central Texas is one of my favorite things to do when I’m not Geocaching. Most cyclists are always on the lookout for good ride maps, and most geocachers are on the lookout for scenic places to cache. So here you go! This is my next in a series I’ll call Cycle Central Texas where I’ll combine my two hobbies.
Bulldog Sandwich Ride: The Austin Cycling Association sponsors rides along this route, which is where the name comes from. You'll pass the place where they served the bulldog sandwiches, but its not open any more. Begin and end your ride at Buescher State park. Good news! The worst hill will be behind you at mile 3!!! After that, its rolling hills, not a lot of shade, and no place to buy snacks, so carry what you need with you. The route is 34 miles long and can be completed by an strong novice or intermediate rider.

If you MUST drive instead of ride to the cache site, please drive carefully and watch out for cyclists who may be right around the next curve. It could be ME!
Please email me through Geocaching.com enabling me to respond to your true email address for a GPX or MPS file you can use to load this map into your computer or GPS!
Cache is a magnetic micro container, which is all you will need to know in order to find it!
For a BONUS SMILEY, email me where you see a smiley face at this location!
