Králický klášter
Klášter na Hoře Matky Boží, Dolní Hedeč nad obcí Králíky. Zakladní kámen stavby byl položen v roce 1706. V roce 1779 hrozilo klášteru zrušeni po návštěvě císaře Josefa II. Na prosbu měšťanů však od svého záměru upustil. Poklid však trval jen do poloviny 19. století, kdy klášter nejdříve vyhořel a pak byl obsazen Prusy. V r. 1868 byl klášter slavnostně otevřen veřejnosti. Uprostřed nádvoří kláštera stojí Kaple Svaté schody. Jde o kopii relikvie Svaté schody, jež stojí v Římě v budově na náměstí Piazza di San Giovanni in Laterano přímo naproti Lateránské bazilice. Je v ní 28 schodů, po nichž poutníci stoupají po kolenou. Kolem nadvoří jsou ambity zvané Křížová cesta s barokními oltáři a sochami. Klášter na Hoře Matky Boží je poutním místem, které každoročně navštíví až 100 tisíc lidí z tuzemska i zahraničí. V baroknim kostele se slouží pravidelné nedělní bohoslužby.
Na klášter vede z města stromová alej založená roku 1700, lemuje ji 8 kaplí. Alej, kterou otevírá v Králíkách symbolická vstupní brána z poloviny 18. století, je vydlážděna a osázena jasany, javory a lipami.
The monastery on Mount Our Lady
The monastery on Mount Our Lady, in Dolní Hedeč above the town of Králíky. The foundation stone was laid in 1706. In 1779, the monastery faced the threat of closure following a visit by Emperor Joseph II. However, at the request of the townspeople, he abandoned his plan. This period of tranquillity lasted only until the mid-19th century, when the monastery was first destroyed by fire and then occupied by the Prussians. In 1868, the monastery was ceremonially opened to the public. In the centre of the monastery courtyard stands The Chapel of the Holy Stairs. It is a replica of the relic of the Holy Stairs, original relic is in Rome in a building on Piazza di San Giovanni in Laterano, directly opposite the Lateran Basilica. It contains 28 steps, which pilgrims ascend on their knees. Surrounding the courtyard are cloisters known as the Way of the Cross, featuring Baroque altars and statues. The Monastery on the Hill of the Mother of God is a place of pilgrimage visited by up to 100,000 people each year from both the Czech Republic and abroad. Regular Sunday services are held in the Baroque church. A tree-lined avenue leading from the town to the monastery, laid out in 1700, is flanked by eight chapels. The avenue, which begins in Králíky with a symbolic entrance gate dating from the mid-18th century, is paved and lined with ash, maple and lime trees.
