Geocache Description:

From time to time we see travel bugs with a cross-country or international mission. This hotel was built especially for these long distance travelers although all TB’s are welcome. The cache is located where access is easy for both westbound and eastbound freeway traffic (sorry south bounders and north bounders, we’re operating at a handicap when it comes to helping you out).

This Travel Bug Hotel is located at an over-pass on I-84; just east of Boise, approximate mile marker is 59. This should make it easily accessible to the local Treasure Valley residents as well as any traveler, eastbound or west and this area can accommodate any vehicle, even the big rigs for trucker pals. There’s nobody around to bother you 99% of the time so if you get there any there’s muggles wait a few minutes, enjoy the beautiful view of the valley and foothills and then make the quick grab.
The cache container is a standard ammo can. The cache has no trade items in it for Geocachers who may not have a Travel Bug. This was done to keep the traffic in and out of the hotel limited to guests (no reservation required of course), as main purpose of the cache is Travel Bug activity. On behalf of those that have put much time, effort and money into creating Travel Bugs, we would ask that you take care to protect their creations.

Original residents of the hotel are;

Tiglet
Las Vegas - SLOTS-A-FUN
Clompie & Sweetie
Long Louis

And

Pond of Wandering Frogs #15 (not an official travel bug but it has a similar mission).

Travel Bugs seen at this hotel;

White Buffalo TB.Cooler Crew Legend, the Clownz. Spuddy Buddy. Molly. Chicken Boo. Whack the Splatter Bug

There are some basic “Do’s and Don’ts” for this Travel Bug Hotel and Travel Bug handling in general.
Travel Bug Hotel Rules
Do NOT take a Travel Bug if you are not prepared to help it on its stated journey.
* Please do NOT take all the Travel Bugs in the Hotel. Let somebody else share in some of the fun. * Please, please, please, be sure to follow the guidelines on the tracking of Travel Bugs. Refer to (visit link) for more information.
* Be sure to log your “found” Travel Bug as promptly as possible (Vacations do make this part tough). Sometimes a TB is grabbed from Cache #1, placed in Cache #2, only to be grabbed from Cache #2, and placed/logged again before the Cache #1 has been properly logged. This really hoses up the tracking.
* If a TB owner has a unique goal or requests for photos, please DO be an active participant. Have some fun with it.
* If you “check-in” a TB at the hotel, DO be sure to write the current goal of the TB in the logbook for others to see. If you can, include it along with the TB (via an attached tag or note).
