Baust Church Cache Traditional Cache

Baust United Church of Christ has been serving the Lord at this location for over 240 years. The present church building was built in 1908. Two other buildings preceeded this one. The church has been a "union church" with the Lutherans and UCC with both congregations having separate services each Sunday morning. Sadly the Lutheran congregation disbanded in the fall of 2005. In 1854 two African Americans worshipped and took communion here six years before the civil war. The cache has been rehabed as of 8/6/07.
