While I have never been overly fond of your basic mega-brewery beer, there exists a whole world of unique brews which do appeal to me. I'm not a genuine barley literati, but my personal favorite ale is Royal Oak Pale Ale, and it's brewed at the Great Barton Farm, Whimple, Devon, England by the O'Hanlons brewery.
I remember very vividly tasting this for the first time. It was at a small pub called Man of Kent, and the owner, John (a wonderfully curmudgeonly English man with immense heart), described it thusly: It's like an angel pissin' on your tongue --how could I possibly resist! It tasted heavenly, and remains the standard by which I judge all other brews.
This cache honors the wildly creative microbreweries & small breweries throughout the world, and particularly the excellent examples found here in Vermont.
When you've solved the puzzle and have found the cache, you'll be in a perfect position to sample a bit of the yummy wet amber stuff, or, if beer isn't your thing --there's a really neat glass art place, and a rockin' kayak outfitter as well!
