Geocache Description:

Not too difficult of a walk through the Second Marsh Area of Oshawa

This cache is along the Bob Mills boardwalk that branches off the Lakefront Trail. It is a great location that is definitely underutilized. There isn't a parking lot in the area, but you can park along the road. The cache can be approached from several different directions. The trail system is an excellent area for birdwatching, and is connected to the trails of the GM Wildlife Preserve. There are many interesting signs with information about the local flora and fauna, as well as a really neat snake hibernaculum. Some parts of this trail can get muddy, but for the most part it is a boardwalk. There is a great viewing platform located about 150m from the cache (also a good place to sign the logbook, so you don't get muggled). The cache container is a .50 cal Ammo Can, and of course, make sure it's well hidden when you return it.
