I figured it was about time for a cache way up here. Hopefully it will bring luck to all us Geocachers in spotting the Cariboo that live up here. I have only seen them once in the 5 years I've been driving this road, so it's very special to get to see them.
To get to this cache, you should park in the picnic area, on the Creston side of the summit. The turnoff is right at the cariboo sign. There are picnic tables availible, outhouses, and a water pump (although I wouldn't drink it personally). You are also right at the edge of Summit Lake, and this is one of Jasmine the Dog's favorite spots to swim and explore.
The trail to get to the cache is just above the bathrooms. It can be steep in sections, and it is slippery when wet. There is snow in spots up until mid June. It will take about 10 minutes to get to the cache, Perfect for a nice streach after a long drive. The cache is a well hidden, small rubbermaid container. Enjoy the short alpine hike, and good luck spotting the Cariboo!
