Geocache Description:

This is an easy, level .20 mile walk along the river. The container is standard sized with a log book and the usual variety of toys & trinkets.

There was once another cache at this fishing access, and it went by the name of "1st Montana Cache". It was hidden on Feb 25, 2001 by 'cabinboy'. The coords for that cache were N 46* 59.478, W 114* 26.769 and will serve well for getting you to the parking area. Originally, I had intended to put my cache as near the original coords as possible, but when I discovered that they zero out at the privy, I chose to revise the plan in favor of a short walk and a view of the river.

If you go to the opposite side of the parking area from this most historic privy, you'll find a fisherman's trail leading along the river's edge. This trail will take you almost directly to the cache site.

I suspect this area can get very busy, particularly during hot weather, so please use discretion when hunting. I averaged six readings with 17 foot accuracy to get the above coords, but if you have any difficulty, the hint is VERY specific. Please recover the box completely and as inconspicuously as possible to prevent accidental discovery.

ENJOY!!
