This is a beautiful location year round. When we set the cache in late spring the bluebells were still out and the rhododendrons were just beginning. We saw numerous birds including a jay. In the autumn you will find lots of different types of fungi throughout the woodland and in the winter with no leaves on the trees the view over the marshes towards Liverpool becomes visible.
The cache is a large container which should accomodate those large and hard TB's that we all find difficult to move on in this area. Please make sure you rehide carefully, replacing all the camoflage.
There are a few routes to this cache. We have noticed that those using TomTom are getting sent the very hard way (5 star terrain rating). There are much flatter routes, they're slightly longer in distance but much easier (3 star terrain rating).
