Under en färd i författaren Vilhelm Mobergs fotspår dyker torpet Korpamoen upp. Här bodde Karls-Oskar och Kristina i boken Utvandrarna. Namnet KORPAMOEN kommer från KORP (en i båda ändarna spetsig hacka) = fattigmans plog och MOEN som anger den näringsfattigaste jordmyllan (mo=mjölfin sand).
Gömman är en plastburk som innehåller loggbok, penna och lite bytessaker.
During a journey in the trail of the poet and writer Vilhelm Moberg the crofter's holding Kopramoen show up. It was here where Karl-Oskar and Kristina in the novel Utvandrarna (the Emigrants) lived. The name KORPAMOEN comes from KORP (Swedish for pickaxe) which was the poor mans plough and MOEN which is the poorest soil containg lot of mealy like fine sand.
