Geocache Description:


Take a walk through the wilds of Jackson Township. Park at either N40° 58.703 / W075° 20.137 or at N40° 59.712 / W075° 20.109. The cache is a large ammo can located on State Game Lands, so wear orange during hunting season. While I suggest always wearing orange, for example Apr 29 thru May 27 is gobbler season the Game Commision is adament about wearing orange during deer season.

Especially: Except on Sundays, anyone present on State game lands from November 15 through December 15 inclusive when not engaged in lawful hunting or trapping MUST wear a minimum of 250 square inches of daylight fluorescent orange-colored material on the head, chest and back combined or, in lieu thereof, a hat of the same colored material. The material shall be worn so it is visible in a 360° arc.

During the warm months the access road has high grass and taking precautions against ticks and biting insects is a must! The second parking area will take you past a feed lot intended to attract nesting turkeys and grouse and the tree cover can make getting a GPS reading difficult. Please do not leave food or drink. Due cache thefts in Monroe county,I have made this cache members only.
