Dr_GloPos: The fat lady is singing the Swan Song for this one. We're closing the book on it. Look out for it's replacement, soon. Happy trails.

Geocache Description:

Bring a camera. The photo ops are way above average.
There are social trails nearby and the cache has become exposed to view so often that it has been found by accident at least four times (logged). The box now sports a ghillie suit cover of my own design, the better to lie in wait. Please use it to re-hide aggressively.

This cache is located on the Mountain Campus of Berry College near landmarks familiar to alumni and visitors from around the world. The approach is steep but short and parking is available close by.

The surrounding area is a scenic wonder. Imagine swans gliding across the mirror surface of a small lake. Under the shade of cypress trees white ducks are walking along the edge of a small waterfall, plucking morsels from the stream as it tumbles from one quiet pool into another. On the hilltop is a rustic chapel of surpassing beauty, fashioned of native stone. And, less than a mile to the west you can visit The Old Mill, constructed by students in 1930. It's the world's largest overshot waterwheel, still serving its millstone and more than capable of producing fresh corn meal from the fruits of the campus fields.

Berry's combined lands include more than 28,000 acres of mountain, forest and farm, in addition to a modern college campus. Indulge yourself in some quiet exploration. Watch for deer, wild turkey and fox, along with the horses and cattle. Oh, and Berry is a great school, too. It is consistently ranked among the top small colleges in America. Dr_GloPos is proud to be an alumnus.

Enough prose... Enjoy the cache!

"I pray that I may leave the world more beautiful than I found it."
~ Martha Berry (1866-1942)
