This cache has been archived.

Reviewer Revan: Cache Owner (CO) has not responded, so I am regretfully archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking new cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace this cache sometime in the future (not to exceed 10 days from the date of this entry), just contact me (by e-mail), and assuming it still meets the current Guidelines, I will consider unarchiving this cache.

Please be advised this is not a guarantee that this geocache will be unarchived. Many factors will go into my decision. The most important of which is how you responded to geocachers who tried to communicate with you regarding the problem(s) with this geocache hide and how you communicated with me, the Reviewer Revan.

Geocache Description:

This is located off I-30 in Greenville at the Cotton Museum Location Site

This cache was placed Memorial Week-end in honor of our soldiers but I did my puzzle wrong that week-end, therefore was revamped Audie Murphy weekend of June 17th -18th. Audie Murphy was known to do practical jokes, and being so careful to not mess up on my caches, I feel he played one on me when I 1st put this out. Now on to the puzzle cache-- The coordinates will take you to a statue of Audie Leon Murphy 1924-1971: America's Most Decorated Soldier Hero. To get the coordinates to the cache you have to get information in this area, for the last 3 numbers of the North and West.

North 33 07.---. 1st number take the number of Presidents (they may not have been President at the time of quote but were sometime)quoted in this surrounding, 2nd number get the number of Wars that are represented here plus 1 by this memorial. Next take the number that stands for the month seen underneath this statement: This statue is dedicated to honor all who served to preserve our freedom, then multiple by 2 for the last number.

West 096 05.--- Take the year on the sculpture by Gordon Thomas name & subtract 1700 to get your answer. I am having you work for this one a little in honor of all those that served for our county so we can have freedom. The cache is a camo pill jar container with small trade items.

In the area is also a Cotton Museum. It is open Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 - 5:00, $4 for adults $1 for children. Enjoy
