This cache is located near McIntrye Creek in a greenbelt between Porter Creek and Takhini subdivisions within the city of Whitehorse, Yukon.
There are many trails within the area but, only one bridge. Crashing through vegetation isn't required. Getting wet is also not required. The Trans Canada Trail bridge will get you across McIntyre Creek depending on your approach if you've started out south (Takhini, Kopper King or Yukon College) of the cache. If you've started out north (Porter Creek) of the cache you won't have to cross the creek.
Watch for quad or dirt bike riders on the trails in the area because they aren't watching for you. Undulating terrain as well as vegetation makes it difficult to see anything or anyone for any distance. If you're on a main trail listen for engine noise and watch for the quad or dirt bike. Regardless whether or not these vehicles should be operating on the trails they do and at fair speeds.
The cache is a Rubbermaid container with white lid and clear bottom.
Please take a picture of yourself or your group with the 35mm single use camera provided or use your own digital camera and post the image with your log. Have subject(s) face the sun (if it's out) as the cache camera doesn't have a flash. You may wish to consider using the partial tent/tarp frame that is not far from the cache location as a background. The camera will be checked at least once every six months and images will be posted on this page when all camera exposures are used.
