Who's Hoo! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Street surgeon: Centerville-Washington Park District is requiring all cache owners who have caches in their parks to submit an application and must be done annually. The timing is right for me as I have just moved out of state and would not be able to maintain the cache thus I am archiving this so others may have an opportunity to have caches in this wonderful park.
I will miss all my fellow geocachers whom I have bonded with over the years - it was fun. If your in Alabama you'll have to come find my caches that I will put out this spring.
Farewell

Geocache Description:

This is a small traditional cache. It is located in Grant’s Park closer to the McEwen Road entrance by the Barn at N39.38.973 W84 11.147 There is lots of activity in the park so be careful of mugglers when you locate and/or checking out the cache. You will encounter just a minimal amount of bushwhacking as it is just off the trail about 10-15ft. Cache has lots of little trinkets and one TB to boot. Be careful with the cover on the cache as it may come off easily.

Grant’s Park – is a 187 acre park once known as Normandy Farms from 1920 – 60. Richard Grant, a salesman and farmer by hobby built this mansion here which is now the Normandy United Methodist Church which is not far from the current park. He bred cattle, horses, and grew wheat, corn and clover on this farm. You will see the chimneys which once was Grant’s picnic cabin and other farm relics. There are a few other Geocaches on this park as well so you can make a real day of it, Coin Collector, and my multi-cache Linus’s Loot. * Feb 8 06 had to move to another location in park due to county work being done in original area.
