The cache is a pill bottle.

The North Shore Trail descends into a valley that is home to Little Bear Creek. The forest was largely consumed by the Old Fire but is coming back in dramatic ways. Much greenery and wildflowers near the ground when I hiked it in May, 2005. You will need about 45 minutes (round trip) to get this cache unless you plan to hike further down the trail. This cache was located about 50 feet from the trail in a location which inspired the name of the cache; a burned out tree. However, the passage of time has caused the growth between the tree and the trail to pretty much choke out any approach so I relocated this next to the trail (in Aug, 2017) making this an easy hide that hopefully does not get muggled. Please note how the cache is hidden and re-hide with care. Enjoy the trail!
