Tower Hill State Park is open to vehicles May through
October. The Park Manager said in the winter months it is
o.k. to park outside the park and walk in. Wisconsin State
vehicle admission pass required for all vehicles entering park or
parked vehicles on the side of a road bordering park land.
Cache is within feet of the trail. Please try not to
bushwhack too much due to the presence of Garlic Mustard (see
warning below). Make sure to take a walk over to the nearby
smelting house to see why the old oxen were here in the first
place.
Karl Heil granted permission to place this cache.
THINGS TO BE CAUTIOUS OF:
1) Garlic Mustard has nearly taken over this park. Every
precaution should be made to prevent the spread of this invasive
species. Take the time to clean your shoes at the trailhead
before and AFTER your hike.
2) This park is known for it's mosquito population. Don't say
I didn't warn you!
