How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

Welcome to the W.D.T.B.M.L!

This is meant for T.B., Coins, Jeeps & sig items only- not for regular trading items.
This cache is on private property. All are welcome if they bear a GPSr, Cache sheet or Cache PDA.
We are the central link of a T.B. expressway that links Petoskey, Gaylord, Higgins Lake, Mt. Pleasant & Clinton County!

If flags up, We got the Bugs, Man!

We are in coordination with the Rainbow Bug Motel GCM697

Located 1/4 mile from S. Higgins Lake State Park, only a few miles from I75, US127 & M55- this will prove to be a easily accessable central area. Items staying more than 2 weeks, or so, will be moved N or S depending on their goals.

Travel Bug Hotel Rules (TB-101):

1. You can log this cache as a find even if you have no travel bugs.
2. Do NOT take a Travel Bug if you are not prepared to help it on its stated journey. For example, if a Travel Bug wants to visit the Florida Keys, don’t grab it and take it to your Family Reunion in Canada.
3. Please do NOT take all the Travel Bugs in the Hotel. Let others share in some of the fun. T.B. hotels w/o bugs are little fun.
4. Please, please, please, be sure to follow the guidelines on the tracking of Travel Bugs. Refer to (visit link) for more information.
5. Be sure to log your “found” Travel Bug as promptly as possible (Vacations do make this part tough). Sometimes a TB is grabbed from Cache #1, placed in Cache #2, only to be grabbed from Cache #2, and placed/logged again before the Cache #1 has been properly logged. This really hoses up the tracking.
6. If a TB owner has a unique goal or requests for photos, please DO be an active participant. Have some fun with it.
7. If you “check-in” a TB at the hotel, DO be sure to write the current goal of the TB in the logbook on the door for others to see. If you can, include it along with the TB (via an attached tag or note).

You can contact us with any special conditions if you have to break one of the rules.
