This cache is located in the northern region of the picturesque area known as Sogn Valley.
Over the past few decades SOGN Valley (pronounced "so-gun") has become a popular area for new homes and residents who chose to live a distance away from where they work. Juxtaposed about 45 minutes from both the Twin Cities and Rochester, it's the perfect "escape" to the country for many commuters who are tired of the daily hustle and bustle of city life. Today, you will see many new homes popping up throughout the valley much to the chagrin of those who preferred the more pristine look and solitude for which the valley was once known.
**NOTE** Be on the careful lookout for geomuggles as this road does see a fair amount of traffic. Also, this cache is a fairly easy find as you should not need to take more than about three or four steps from the edge of the road to locate the container. It is suggested you bring the container back to your vehicle to inspect the contents. Please carefully hide the container as you found it so it's not visible to those walking or driving along the road.
POINT OF CLARIFICATION: There seems to be some confusion (based on early log entries) on whether this cache might be placed on property that is posted NO TRESPASSING. Goodhue County has a 33' public right-of-way on its township roads. This cache is located no more than 15' from the road's edge (in the ditch). There should be no need to venture further than this distance from the road. If you go BEYOND any of the posted signs then you WILL be trespassing. But this cache is definitely placed on land in the public domain with easy access (as described).
