Geocache Description:

A nice walk round an up and coming lake in Molden Hill Country Park.

Over two years ago the Haydon Development Company built major features including a lake, footpaths and the trackbed for the railway. When opened the park will have a visitor centre, nature trails and a lot more tree planting. By the end of the year, subject to planning permission, the society hopes to be laying track and building a station next to the lake. We liked this area because its so close to a housing estate yet it feels like its a nice peaceful lake. Being the Tea Team we took a Flask with us and suggest you do the same. There are two parking areas, one off the main road at: N 51.35.303 W 001.49.671 Or you could park at the local pub, then go left out of the carpark under the road and follow the path to the lake at: N 51.35.376 W 001.49.610
