This is our very first cache hide!!

The 3 hobbits had a great time getting this cache ready & finding a fun location for you to find.

Depending on which way you come from to get to the cache the terrain can be easy to a little difficult.
There is also a creek nearby that has many crossing points Easy to slightly difficult depending on which one you want to use to cross if you need to. This is also a great area to spot deer, which we have seen on many occasions.

We packed this ammo can with lots of fun stuff and also 3 travel bugs to start off with. Each of the 3 hobbits in our group created a special travel bug to start their journey from here. Click on names below for travel bug info and photos of them.
There is also a Log book and a few pencils included in zip-loc baggies for you to log your visit

The best place for legal parking is just north of the main trail head at N42 02.914 W088 11.856 in the main lot

The Ammo box container is clearly marked with www.Geocaching.com on the outside of it, in case anyone stumbles upon it by accident, also included inside is a Stash note to welcome any finders of this cache & also to explain the game to newbies.

Important Note : As with any cache hunt, keep all of our parks clean & natural (Cache in / Trash out).

We also go bike riding through this area fairly often on the paved trails so we will be able to maintain & check on this cache when needed.

As you can tell by the cache title & our name we love the “Lord of the Rings” books & movies.
